Braydens Giants HQ Day

Brayden Petersen was the winner of our “face of the club” competition. All players who registered before 12/12/2017 were entered into the competition. The face of the club player photo is displayed on the big screen at all Giants home games and to announce the player that represents the Suns before the game.

On Tuesday 23/01/18 Brayden was invited to GIANTS HQ for a photo shoot, HQ tour and some training drills alongside his sister and many other junior AFL players, some travelling from as far as Canberra.
Brayden had his photo taken and recorded an announcement to introduce the Giants player representing Blacktown Suns into the game.  This year we are lucky enough to have two time Sheedy medallist Josh Kelly as our representing player.

After the photo shoot and lunch all the kids made their way out to the field to complete some kicking and hand balling drills. Speed and accuracy was the aim of the game! All the kids had a great time and after warming up they tried to kick the ball into the TOYO Tyres stack (No one took home the money).

Shortly after the drills clinic Ryan Griffin joined the kids and took them on a tour of the giants HQ. Ryan showed the junior players around the gym, the kitchen and the meeting rooms. Ryan was injured for all of season 2017 but has assured the kids he will be right for season 2018. We look forward to seeing him on the field.

Well done Brayden!
